About

"PLAYING CARDS," a new work by art director Yuni Yoshida—renowned for her visuals for famous artists and brands—makes its debut in the Kansai region.

At first glance, the familiar playing card designs seem ordinary, but look closer and you'll find they’re actually composed of everyday objects like sweets, fruits, and stationery. These works convey the message that by simply shifting your perspective, you can discover joy in the small, ordinary things of daily life. Each piece was newly photographed and meticulously crafted, with detailed artistic direction that captivates viewers.

In conjunction with the exhibition, original merchandise—featuring the popular playing card motif as well as exclusive new designs created for this event—will be available for purchase at the venue. To commemorate this first showing in Kansai, a special collaboration with artist Daito Manabe will also be unveiled. Don’t miss this immersive presentation of Yuni Yoshida’s latest creative expression.

Yuni Yoshida

Art Director / Graphic Designer

Born in Tokyo in 1980. After graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design, she joined Onuki Design. Following her time at Uchu Country, she became independent in 2007. She works across a wide range of fields including advertising, CD jackets, book covers, and video production. Her notable works include projects for LUMINE, Shiseido, Ettusais, the UNIQLO × DISNEY collaboration, CD artwork for artists such as Chara, Kaela Kimura, Perfume, and Vaundy, the key visual for the drama Elpis, live visuals for comedy group Tokyo03 and comedian Naomi Watanabe, and advertisements for the cosmetics brand Wonjungyo featuring TWICE’s Momo. She received the Tokyo ADC Award in 2016, the Mainichi Design Award in 2019, and was named Best Art Director at MAMA 2019.
